    Your feed

    • For You, Following and What's On — the feed now has three tabs: the nights people have just had, the people you follow, and what's playing.
    • When they went, not when they posted — every Moment says when the person saw the show. Someone catching up on old visits gets one Looking back card, a run of visits to a show they've seen ten times or more becomes On repeat, and Moments that are only stars share one Quick ratings card.
    • People who see what you see — in Following, follow the people who've seen the most of the same shows as you, and follow back the ones who already follow you. When a friend joins from a card you shared, you follow each other straight away.
    • A year ago this week — your own night from a year ago comes back at the top of your feed, with an easy way to add a line or a photo to last night's show.

    What's On

    • What members are seeing — the shows members have been to lately, from the West End to tours and shows abroad, then your wishlist on sale, booking that's about to end, shows booking from a later date and the most wanted, with prices. Filter by London, New York or elsewhere.

    Applause

    • Applaud a Moment — tap Applaud on any Moment you enjoyed, and the person who posted it sees it on their Activity.
    • Activity — the bell at the top of your feed shows who applauded your Moments, who followed you, and the achievements you've earned.

    Achievements

    • A moment for every achievement — earn one and it appears straight away, as you save the visit or Moment that earned it. The rarest fill the screen, and Legendary ones come in gold.
    • A medal for each one — every achievement has its own medal, from Ghost Light to Opera Glasses, coloured by how rare it is: Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary, counted from how many members actually hold it.
    • New things to earn — 117 in all: levels for shows, nights out, time in the seats, theatres and more, plus feats like Double Bill, Row A, Transatlantic and New Staging, from musicals and plays to opera and dance, stories from Whodunnit to Behind You!, and a few hidden ones to find.
    • An Achievements tab on every profile — see everything you've earned, or what anyone else has, next to Main, Stats and Moments.
    • Share it — any achievement you've earned makes a card to share, and Brought a Friend counts the friends who join Aklaim from your cards.
    • Everything you've already earned — open Aklaim to see the achievements your theatregoing has already earned you, each dated from when it happened.

    Also new

    • Faster profiles and Home — your profile, everyone else's and Home now load faster.
    • Which production?, on more shows — the question now comes up on every show with more than one production, and on your wishlist it asks which one you want to see.
  3. 3.4.0

    October 2026

    Your profile

    • A profile that looks like your theatre — your cover is a wall of the posters from everything you've seen, with your shows, visits and hours in the seats on a ticket stub and the year you became a theatregoer. Everyone's profile has the new look, and a friend who isn't signed in can sign in from yours and come straight back to it.
    • Your nights out, and a scrapbook of them — your profile now opens on your last nights out with the stars you gave them, the shows on your wishlist that are on sale and from what price, and the shows you keep going back to. Moments is a scrapbook of your photos and words, with the night you saw a year ago this week.

    Stats

    • Your time in the seats — a poster for every show you've seen, your hours at the theatre counted in Hamiltons, and how many shows, visits and theatres, for everyone.
    • Every chart, with Premium — your theatre years, your week and your season, where your shows sit on the theatre map, how you rate against everyone else, your taste, the decades your shows come from, your theatres and your records, all time or a year at a time.

    Premium

    • Why Aklaim has Premium — Aklaim is built by one person, and Premium is what keeps it running and free for everyone. Tap Why Premium? on any Premium card to see what supporters get, and read the programme: a thank-you page naming the supporters who ask to be in it.
    • Make your profile yours — supporters can dress their cover as a theatre, with a curtain call, gilt frames, one of their shows in the spotlight or in lights, put their photo in a frame, show a supporter heart by their name, and choose their share cards' colours. It's all in Edit profile.

    Also new

    • Edit profile and Settings — Edit profile has everything about how you look, with a preview that changes as you go. Settings is now a tidy list of your account, privacy, notifications and help.
    • Quicker sharing — share cards appear faster and switch between story and post sizes straight away, and posters on your profile come through sharp.
  4. 3.3.1

    Show pages

    • A new look for every show — the poster takes centre stage, with the show's type, running time, tags and where it's on stage right under the title, and its rating and who's seen it at a glance.
    • You might also like — every show now suggests others that the people who saw it went on to see, so your next night out is a tap away.
    • Moments up front — a show's page now opens with standout Moments and photos from people who've been, and how they rated it and felt about it. Seen it? Tap a star to share yours.

    Sharing

    • Cards made from your night — share a ticket with your seat and stars, any of your Moments with its photos and words, an invite to a show you're going to, or your theatre so far, sized for stories and for chats.
    • Links that show your card — send a show to a friend and the preview shows your ticket or Moment. Tapping it opens the show, in the app if they have it.

    Productions

    • Put your visits on the right production — if you logged a show before it had separate productions, a new screen helps you move your visits and ratings to the one you actually saw. You'll find it on your Home screen too.
    • 66 more productions, plus dance — revivals and originals across 26 shows now have their own pages, and dance and entertainment shows, from ballet to magic, now have their own kinds, with their own Discover filter as they arrive.
  5. 3.3.0

    September 2026

    • Which production did you see? — when a show has more than one production, like the original and a revival, marking it watched or adding it to your wishlist now asks which one you mean, so it lands on the right staging. Not sure? Keep the one you're on.
    • Pick the production as you log a visit — when you post a moment or add a performance, you can switch between a show's productions with a tap, and if the theatre you enter is where another staging plays, we'll ask whether you meant that one.
  6. 3.2.0

    September 2026

    New in the catalogue

    • More than 50 new shows and productions — musicals, plays and operas, many of them straight from your suggestions. If you asked for a show, search again.
    • More stagings get their own page — over twenty more revivals now have a page per production, so each is rated on its own terms.
    • Sixteen more theatres — the Shaftesbury, The Other Palace, Troubadour Wembley Park, @sohoplace and more are now in the venue picker, so you no longer have to type them in.

    Tickets

    • Book from the show page — a new Tickets tab shows where a show is on sale, with prices and current offers, and an On sale badge on posters marks what you can book right now.

    Recommendations

    • Recommended for you, rebuilt — more varied picks, closer to your own taste, and each one says why: a show you've seen, what's trending with theatregoers, or what's on now. A Premium feature.

    Elsewhere

    • Swipe to close, and stats that count up — sheets slide up from the bottom on phones and close with a swipe down, and your stats count up when you open them.
    • Fixes — shows you'd seen no longer appear twice in Watched after being split into productions, shared profile links show their preview image again, and Aklaim links from emails, such as password resets, open straight in the app.
  7. 3.1.0

    September 2026

    Productions

    • Revivals now have their own page — Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Starlight Express at Wembley, Jamie Lloyd's Sunset Boulevard, Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet, Marianne Elliott's Company and Daniel Fish's Oklahoma! are no longer mixed in with the original. Each keeps its own rating, activity and photos, so a staging is judged on its own terms.
    • Your visits moved across for you — the reviews, ratings and photos you logged for one of those productions now sit with it, matched on the theatre and date you entered. There is nothing to re-tag.
    • Tell two stagings apart at a glance — cards, search results and show pages now name the production under the title, so you can see which *Cabaret* you are looking at before you tap.
    • Jump between productions — a show page lists the other stagings of the same show, so you can move from the original to a revival and back.
    • Search by the production — searching "Kit Kat Club" or "Jamie Lloyd" now takes you to that staging.

    Elsewhere

    • Opera — the catalogue now covers opera alongside musicals and plays, with its own filter in Browse Shows.
    • Changing a moment's show keeps your visit with it — editing a moment and picking a different show used to leave the visit, and the stats built on it, pointing at the old show. The visit now moves too, and the date, theatre and seat you had entered are kept.
  8. 3.0.10

    August 2026

    • Custom shows with accented titles — adding a show whose title contains an accent, an umlaut or quotation marks would fail to save, however many times you tried. These now save first time, and if a save ever does fail you'll see the reason rather than a generic "please try again".
    • Manage your custom shows from your phone — tap the ⋯ button beside any show in Custom Shows to edit its details or delete it. These controls were previously reachable only on desktop.
  9. 3.0.9

    August 2026

    • Custom shows and photo uploads fixed — creating a custom show or adding a photo to a moment could fail with "Failed to save. Please try again." Saving now works first time — including custom show posters and profile pictures — and the fix reaches everyone automatically, no app update needed.
  10. 3.0.8

    August 2026

    • Next Show on your home screen — a new widget for iOS and Android counts down to your next booked show with its poster, venue and seat. Add it from your widget gallery — tapping it takes you straight to your Upcoming list. A Premium feature.
    • Smoother app opens — opening the app from a link no longer flashes a paywall or sign-in prompt while your account loads.
  11. 3.0.7

    August 2026

    • Show dates now land on the right day — dates across Home, show pages, your upcoming list and stats could appear one day early if you're outside the UK. Every date now matches the day on your ticket, wherever you are.
    • Countdowns you can trust — days-to-go badges now count to the actual show date, and a show stays "upcoming" for the whole of its own day instead of slipping into the past the evening before.
    • Watch years show the right year — shows logged with just a year (say, "watched in 2024") no longer display the year before in some regions.
    • Custom posters upload again — adding your own poster to a show works reliably again.
  12. 3.0.5

    May 2026

    News

    • Theatre news, in your feed — cast announcements, openings, reviews and breaking news now surface alongside friend activity. Tap the new News chip to focus on them.
    • Read in place — tap Read more on any story to expand the full piece inside the feed, no detour and no lost scroll position.
    • One-tap share — every story has a share button to send it on.
  13. 3.0.4

    April 2026

    • Tidier home screen — your Wishlist and Recently Watched rails now scroll sideways with neater cards, so more of your collection is visible at a glance on phones.
  14. 3.0.3

    April 2026

    Moments

    • Aklaim Score leaderboard — and a fresh feed that bundles burst posts from the same show together, so busy nights don't drown your followers.
    • Emoji reactions — react to a Moment with up to three emoji.
    • First time / rewatch badges — every Moment shows whether it was your first visit or a rewatch, counted from your attendance history.
    • Reviews are now optional for future performances. — Tag a show you're about to see without being forced to rate it, then get a gentle post-show nudge to leave your review.
    • Up Next card — surfaces upcoming Moments on your home screen (Premium).
    • Photo editing — add or remove photos on a Moment after posting.
    • Paginated feeds — and a smoother composer — only Moments with actual content show up in feeds.
    • Achievements v2 — a bigger set of achievements with rarity tiers.

    Platform

    • Android App Links — tapping an Aklaim URL on Android now opens the app directly.
    • Tablet polish — modals and page layouts hold up better on larger screens.
