How to delete your account

1. Log in to your Aklaim account at app.aklaim.co.uk or open the Aklaim app on your iOS or Android device.
2. Navigate to Settings (tap the gear icon or find it in the menu).
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
4. Tap “Delete My Account”, confirm you understand the consequences, then type DELETE to permanently remove your account.

Active subscriptions

If you have an active Aklaim Premium subscription, you must cancel it separately before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel store-managed subscriptions.

• Apple App Store: Go to iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Aklaim > Cancel Subscription.
• Google Play Store: Open the Play Store > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Aklaim > Cancel.
• Web (Stripe): Your web subscription will be cancelled automatically when your account is deleted.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered:

• Your profile information (name, username, bio, profile photo)
• Your watched and wishlisted shows
• Your performance history and attendance records
• Your reviews and ratings
• Your moments (posts, photos, and interactions)
• Your followers and following connections
• Your achievements and activity history
• Any custom shows you created

What data may be retained

• Anonymised, aggregated analytics (e.g. total show view counts) that cannot be linked back to your identity.
• Transaction records may be retained by payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe) in accordance with their own data retention policies.

Account deletion is processed immediately. There is no additional retention period for your personal data.
