Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Aklaim mobile app, web app at app.aklaim.co.uk, and the marketing site at aklaim.co.uk (collectively, the “Services”), operated by Aklaim (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use Aklaim. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your Account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• One account per person — don't create multiple accounts
• You can delete your account at any time from the app settings

User Content

You retain ownership of all content you post — moments, photos, reviews, captions, and custom shows. By posting content to Aklaim, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Services.

This licence exists solely to operate the app — for example, showing your moments in other users' feeds, displaying your reviews on show pages, and including your photos in the community gallery on our marketing site.

You can delete your content at any time. Deleting a moment removes it from all feeds and pages.

Content Guidelines

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Contains nudity or sexually explicit material
• Infringes on someone else's intellectual property
• Is spam, advertising, or misleading
• Contains personal information about others without their consent

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them.

Show Catalogue

Show information in our catalogue (titles, composers, synopses, song lists) is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we don't guarantee that all information is complete or up to date. Users can submit corrections via the “Request Edits” feature on show pages.

Custom shows created by Premium users are the responsibility of their creators. We review submitted custom shows but don't guarantee approval or accuracy.

Subscriptions & Payments

Aklaim is free to use. Some features (Wrapped, Upcoming Shows, Custom Shows) require an Aklaim Premium subscription.

• Pricing — Premium costs £19.99/year (or local equivalent). Prices may change with notice.
• Billing — subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat web billing (Stripe). We don't handle payment details directly.
• Cancellation — you can cancel at any time through your platform's subscription settings. You'll retain access until the current billing period ends.
• Refunds — refund policies are governed by the platform where you purchased (Apple, Google, or Stripe).

Intellectual Property

The Aklaim app, including its design, code, brand, and logo, is owned by Aklaim (trading as Rayvox) and protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without our written consent.

Show posters and artwork displayed in the catalogue belong to their respective rights holders and are used for informational purposes under fair use.

Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We're a solo-developer project — things may break occasionally, and we appreciate your patience.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aklaim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
