Terms of Service

Aklaim is made and run by one person: me, Oren, through my company Rayvox Limited. When these terms say “I”, “me” or “Aklaim”, that’s who they mean. By making an account or using Aklaim, you agree to them. The privacy policy explains what happens to your data.

• You need to be 13 or older to use Aklaim.
• One account each, in your own name or a username of your choice. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
• Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
• Keep your email address current, so you can get back in if you’re locked out.

Your Moments, photos, captions, ratings and notes stay yours. You give Aklaim a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, show and adapt them: in the app, in cards you share, and, for public profiles, on this website and in Aklaim’s own posts and promotion, such as social media posts and examples of the app. Who sees them in the app follows your profile setting (see the privacy policy).

The licence ends when you delete the post or your account, except for promotion already published and copies other people already have, such as a card you shared. If you’d like something taken down from Aklaim’s promotion, ask and I will.

Only post photos you took or have the right to share. Many theatres don’t allow photos during the performance: please respect the house rules where you are.

Anonymous statistics Aklaim makes from what members log (see the privacy policy) belong to Aklaim.

Aklaim is for people who love theatre. Please don’t post or do anything that:

• is illegal, threatening, hateful, or harasses anyone;
• is sexually explicit or shows nudity;
• shares someone else’s personal details, or photos of people who’d clearly object;
• copies someone else’s work without permission;
• is spam, advertising, or fake: invented ratings, accounts made to game Applause or follows;
• scrapes Aklaim, overloads it, or tries to get into parts of it you’re not meant to reach.

I can remove anything that breaks these rules, and limit or close accounts that keep breaking them. Where I can, I’ll tell you why. If you see something that shouldn’t be here, tell me.

Show details (titles, productions, dates, venues, creatives, songs and synopses) are gathered carefully but may not always be complete or right. If you spot a mistake, use Request edits on the show’s page.

Shows you add yourself become part of the catalogue, and stay in it if you leave. Posters and artwork belong to their owners and are shown to identify each production. If you own something shown on Aklaim and want it credited or removed, get in touch.

Some shows link to a ticket seller. These are affiliate links: Aklaim may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Anything you buy is between you and the seller, on their terms. Aklaim doesn’t sell tickets and isn’t responsible for them.

• Aklaim is free to use. Premium is an optional subscription; what it includes is listed in the app.
• You’ll see the price, and how often it renews, before you pay. It’s billed through the App Store, Google Play or a web checkout.
• It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in Settings → Manage subscription, or in your App Store or Google Play account, and Premium carries on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under its rules.
• If the price changes, you’ll be told before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

The shop at merch.aklaim.co.uk is run by me, Oren, and the seller is Rayvox Limited.

• Each item’s details, sizes and price are on its page. Colours can look a little different on screen.
• Every item is printed to order when you buy it, which takes a few working days before it’s posted.
• Prices are in pounds, and delivery is added at checkout. Outside the UK, any customs charges or import taxes are yours to pay.
• Because every item is made to order for you, you can’t cancel it once it’s printed or return it because you’ve changed your mind. If you change your mind straight after ordering, tell me quickly and I’ll cancel it if it hasn’t gone to print.
• If something arrives damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, send me your order number and a photo, ideally within 14 days, and I’ll replace it or refund you. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.

Aklaim is a one-person project that’s always changing. Features may be added, changed or removed, and now and then something will break. I’ll do my best to keep it running and your data safe, but I can’t promise it will always be available. If Aklaim ever closes, I’ll give you reasonable notice first.

Aklaim is provided as it is. I’m not responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for business losses, or for anything caused by events outside my control. Apart from that, my total responsibility to you is limited to what you’ve paid Aklaim, for Premium or in the shop, in the 12 months before the problem.

None of this limits responsibility for anything the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as death or injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and it doesn’t affect your rights as a consumer.

You can stop using Aklaim whenever you like, and delete your account yourself in Settings. I may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where I can, I’ll tell you first and give you the chance to put it right.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, I’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you don’t agree with it, you can delete your account; using Aklaim after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and if you live in the EU you keep the protections of your local consumer law.
